An Equipment Rental Manager oversees the rental of equipment in industries such as construction, landscaping, agriculture, utility, manufacturing, and consumer services. They may also oversee the dispatching of delivery trucks and the loading and securing of materials prior to delivery. These managers must keep records to ensure that inventory is taken properly and certain items are available upon request. They also prepare rental contracts and ensure that they adhere to regional and national laws and regulations.

We are currently looking for a motivated and hands-on Equipment Store Assistant to join our front-line team. This is an entry-level position.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Sales:
Greet walk-in and phone customers, determine their equipment needs, and help process rental reservations using our store software.
Equipment Prep & Maintenance:
Inspect, clean, and test returned equipment (e.g., chainsaws, generators, skid steers) to ensure it is safe, fueled, and ready for the next rental.
Yard Organization:
Keep the rental yard and showroom clean, orderly, and well-stocked with necessary supplies, parts, and safety gear.
Loading & Unloading:
Safely operate equipment to load and unload rental items for customers and transport trucks.
Demonstrations:
Safely demonstrate to customers how to start, operate, and troubleshoot the tools they are renting.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Driver's License:
Valid driver's license with a clean, acceptable driving record.
Physical Ability:
Must be capable of lifting and moving equipment frequently (up to 45 lbs.) and standing/working in an active, sometimes outdoor environment.
Customer Skills:
Strong interpersonal and multitasking skills with a positive attitude.
Technical Aptitude:
Basic knowledge or a strong willingness to learn about tools, construction equipment, and basic mechanics. Basic computer skills.
