As a member of a sales team, the sales professional is responsible for maintaining and strengthening customer relationships within a defined territory. Identifies opportunities for account growth while offering customers a full array of value-added services.
Job Specific Summary:
As a Business Development Specialist in WWS, you will hunt for net-new revenue and strategically expand FedEx's market share among large corporate accounts. You will act as a consultative supply chain expert, guiding C-suite executives through complex logistical transformations and transitioning their operations from competitors to the FedEx ecosystem.
Essential Functions:
Acquire, Develop and Expand customer revenue High level of negotiation skills needed to implement complex pricing programs, logistics optimization, and aligning customers' needs to strategic goals of the company. Exhibiting outstanding communication skills including verbal, written and listening to learn the customer's business and leverages emerging technology and internal systems to drive compelling business proposition. Coordinates and collaborates with internal functional teams to provide a seamless and outstanding customer experience. Manage and execute key success factors to meet quarterly goals. Strong business acumen skills, project management skills and ability to generate creative solutions based on customer needs. Performs other duties as assigned.

Excellent Team Building skills Proven B2B/B2C Sales Record Consultative & Solution Selling Analytical & Financial Acumen Executive Presentation Large Account Transition Management Cross-Functional Collaboration Deep Understanding of Global Supply Chains Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Marketing or related field would be a plus An MBA is strongly desired for this role Equivalent Track Record if you do not have a degree Proven track record of sales success in the Medium/Large sales role
Strong Pipeline Management Forecasting and Digital Sales Skills Work/Domicile Location:
This position may be located in Durham, North Carolina or Concord, North Carolina.
Relocation:
Relocation assistance may be available based upon business needs.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree/equivalent.
Minimum Experience:
Two (2) years of business-to-business sales or related Company business experience required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to travel overnight as required.
