Job Description

Three Rivers Human Service Zone is hiring an Account Budget Specialist in Mandan, North Dakota. The Account Budget Specialist provides accounting, financial reporting, and administrative support for the Zone. This position works closely with the Director and supports social workers, eligibility workers, and front office staff to ensure accurate financial operations and efficient office processes. This position also supervises administrative support staff in the Mandan, Fort Yates, and Carson offices.
Account Budget Specialist Example of Duties:
Perform accounting and financial support functions, including payroll processing, reconciliations, report preparation, and budget support Provide administrative and clerical support to the Director and program staff Assist with personnel-related processes, including timekeeping, reporting and management of personnel files Provide front desk and customer service support, including assisting clients and responding to inquiries Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information Support board operations, meetings, and required reporting Manage zone vehicle records and maintenance Works closely with county auditors, treasurer and HR. Ability to supervise administrative support staff Record Retention Coordinator Management of SharePoint information Knowledge policies and procedures Perform other duties as assigned To succeed in this position, you must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to perform financial tasks such as payroll, expense tracking, and budget support. You should communicate clearly, work effectively in a team environment, and provide customer service to staff and the public. This role requires the ability to manage changing priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in accounting or business; Or An associate degree in accounting or business and at least two years of directly related experience in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, financial recordkeeping, budgeting, or other fiscal or administrative work involving financial responsibilities.
