An Equipment Rental Manager oversees the rental of equipment in industries such as construction, landscaping, agriculture, utility, manufacturing, and consumer services. They may also oversee the dispatching of delivery trucks and the loading and securing of materials prior to delivery. These managers must keep records to ensure that inventory is taken properly and certain items are available upon request. They also prepare rental contracts and ensure that they adhere to regional and national laws and regulations.

Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
Serve as the primary point of contact for rental customers, handling inquiries and requests via phone, email, and internal channels. Coordinate rental operations by managing reservations, scheduling Equipment Movement Records (EMRs) through dispatch, and monitoring rental duration timelines. Support the sales team by providing rental fleet solutions and assisting with customer equipment needs. Monitor heavy rental demand and fleet availability to help optimize equipment utilization and customer service. Maintain rental workspace systems and records, ensuring workflows remain organized, accurate, and efficient. Assist with invoicing and the management of loaner and demo equipment while supporting day-to-day rental operations. Complete required training, special projects, and additional assignments as directed by the Operations Manager to support evolving business needs and professional growth.
RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Minimum 1-3 years customer service experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams) and ERP systems, with the ability to access, update, and manage business data efficiently; basic knowledge of construction equipment preferred. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey information clearly both verbally and in writing while working effectively with colleagues, teams, stakeholders, and customers. Demonstrated ability to take initiative, solve problems, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented and customer-focused, with a commitment to accuracy, quality, continuous improvement, and delivering positive experiences for both internal and external customers.
