Job Description EquipmentShare is seeking a Yard Technician to support our construction equipment rental yard. In this hands-on role, you'll inspect, clean, and stage machinery so it's safe and rental-ready, assist with loading and unloading, and maintain an organized, compliant yard. You'll use our T3 technology to track equipment, document service needs, and support logistics. Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, you'll collaborate with drivers, mechanics, and sales to keep jobsites running smoothly while gaining exposure to advanced telematics and fleet management tools and growing your skills in equipment operations and safety. Responsibilities Inspect incoming and outgoing rental equipment for damage, safety, and operational readiness Clean and detail machines using pressure washers and hand tools to meet rental standards Stage, load, and unload equipment safely, securing loads for transport Maintain an organized, hazard-free yard, signage, and traffic flow Report mechanical issues and collaborate with technicians on needed repairs or service Use T3 or similar software to log inspections, track equipment status, and update inventory Assist customers and drivers with equipment check-in/check-out and basic operation guidance Follow all OSHA, safety, and company policies, including PPE use and incident reporting Perform basic preventive maintenance tasks such as fluid checks and minor adjustments Support special projects, seasonal yard setups, and continuous improvement initiatives Required Skills Equipment inspection Basic mechanical repair Hydraulic and electrical awareness Power washing and cleaning Inventory control Forklift operation Load securement Safety and OSHA compliance Recordkeeping and documentation Basic computer/mobile app use
