Position Overview As a Equipment Rental Specialist , you will play a crucial role in washing, maintaining, and servicing rental equipment while ensuring it remains in excellent working condition. You will also assist with customer service, equipment reservations, and inventory scheduling to support seamless operations. Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and service on rental equipment. Clean, organize, and maintain lawn & garden equipment, construction machinery, and various rental items . Load and unload rental equipment for customer pickups and returns. Keep the workshop and yard organized to maximize efficiency. Assist in service record-keeping and maintenance tracking . Provide exceptional customer service , ensuring a positive rental experience. Demonstrate strong accountability, time management, and a willingness to learn . Assist with scheduling inventory to ensure high-quality equipment availability. Coordinate equipment reservations and rental contracts with customers in person and over the phone. Become knowledgeable about General Rent-All's products and equipment offerings . Maintain a professional attitude, setting an example for workplace behavior and performance. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Strong mechanical or construction knowledge . Excellent communication and interpersonal skills . Strong organizational and leadership abilities . Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience. Ability to safely handle tools and operate compact tractors, skid loaders, and lawn equipment . CDL Requirements Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. High school diploma or equivalent. Diligent attention to safety. Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. as part of daily tasks.
