Role Overview:
The Account Manager
  • RAE Coils is responsible for driving sales performance, developing customer relationships, and providing technical support for commercial and industrial coil sales.
This role plays a vital part in managing accounts, expanding sales channels, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Account Manager will collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute sales strategies that align with company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Sales Performance & Growth Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets. Monitor sales performance daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually. Identify new business opportunities and expand customer relationships. 2. Customer & Distributor Support Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and distributors. Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, orders, and technical support. Travel to customer locations and sales distribution offices to provide training and support (up to 25% travel). 3. Technical Support & Training Provide customers with product selection assistance, technical drawings, and field application support. Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions (both online and in person). Work closely with engineering and production teams to address technical concerns and ensure product quality. 4. Market & Competitor Analysis Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. Gather market intelligence to develop competitive sales strategies. Attend trade shows, industry conferences, and networking events to enhance brand awareness. 5. Collaboration & Communication Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, production, and logistics) to meet customer expectations. Communicate pricing, lead times, and shipping schedules with customers. Ensure accurate documentation of customer records and sales activities using CRM systems. 6. Compliance & Administrative Duties Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety procedures. Prepare and submit expense reports and travel logs in a timely manner. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sales processes and customer experience. 7. Other Duties as Assigned Take on special projects and initiatives as directed by leadership. Provide additional support to cross-functional teams as needed. Desired Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience in HVAC, refrigeration, or industrial manufacturing sales is acceptable. Prior account management or sales experience in a manufacturing or technical industry is beneficial. Skills Strong business development and relationship-building skills. Technical knowledge of HVAC/Refrigeration products is a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and CRM software. Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Certificates, Licenses, or Training Valid Driver's License required (for customer visits and travel). On-site and external training as needed for professional development. Working Environment & Physical Demands Office-based role with occasional exposure to manufacturing environments.
