Job Description
LGC Clinical Diagnostics partners with IVD and biopharmaceutical developers, CROs and academic institutions covering the entire diagnostic pipeline, from concept and early-stage research to accelerated product development and, ultimately, routine clinical use. It develops and manufactures a comprehensive portfolio of premium catalogue and custom-developed diagnostic quality solutions and component materials for the IVD and extended life sciences industry through its four brands, Maine Standards Company, SeraCare, The Native Antigen Company and Technopath Clinical Diagnostics.
Together, they serve 7,500+ customers in over 120 countries, providing products for more than 20 clinical application areas, including infectious diseases, NIPT, diabetes, cardiac disease and oncology.lgcclinicaldiagnostics.comJob DescriptionThis is a remote home-based position.
The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for day-to-day sales operations for LGC Clinical Diagnostics Division within an assigned territory. The AM will drive sales growth and long-term business relationships with end-user accounts for our diagnostic and genomics product lines. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop consultative relationships with new and existing account base for all products.
Achieves assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
Maintain detailed understanding of all products and their relevance and application in the Clinical Laboratory space.
Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, customer service, accounting, logistics and technical support groups.
Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
Update and maintain current Customer Relations Management database.
Continue education on product advantages to ensure customer loyalty.
Completes strategic customer account plans that meet company standards.
Develops him/herself to be the trusted advisor to our customers.
Maintains high customer satisfaction that meets company standards.
Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned period.
Attend tradeshows in or out of assigned territory as requested.
QualificationsKnowledge, Experience and Technical SkillsExhibit an understanding of the importance of customer retention, continuous improvement, maintaining high standards of performance, partnership and attention to detail.
Solid understanding of Clinical Laboratory testing including supporting technologyBe a champion of meeting both internal and external customer needsSupport an environment which promotes positive communication and respect.
Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skillsMust have a proven track record of meeting tight deadlines, working independently, and being diligent, meticulous, and resourceful in solving problems.
