This position balances customer advocacy with carrier development to drive operational excellence, profitability, and long-term business relationships. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: Respond promptly to customer communications and inquiries. Translate customer requirements into accurate orders within the Transportation Management System (TMS). Manage assigned customer portals and external systems. Ensure customer orders are successfully dispatched, tracked, and delivered. Organize and manage assigned account email inboxes. Participate in customer meetings and serve as the primary operations representative when required. Complete outbound Track & Trace calls and maintain shipment visibility. Recruit, qualify, and onboard carriers in strategic markets to maintain sufficient transportation capacity. Develop and manage key carrier relationships based on utilization and market needs. Core Competencies Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Proficient with Microsoft Windows operating systems Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize independently Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills Experience with reporting and data analysis Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer and carrier relationships Preferred Competencies 1-3 years of logistics experience , including customer and/or carrier operations 1-2 years of experience using a Transportation Management System Account management experience Carrier sales or freight brokerage experience Direct sales experience Knowledge of carrier compliance requirements and FMCSA regulations Experience using carrier compliance platforms Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Excellent attention to detail Persistent and results-oriented with a customer-first mindset
