Job Description
We don't just build houses. We build homeowners. I'm Dez Loessberg. I own Azcension Homes, and we build and sell homes in Arizona City, along the I-10 corridor. Here's what makes us different. Most of the people who call us have already been told no somewhere else. Credit isn't perfect. Self-employed and can't show income the way a bank wants to see it. Renting for twelve years and watching prices run away from them. Veterans. Young families. People who work hard and got told they don't qualify. We built this company to change that answer. We buy the land ourselves. We build the homes ourselves. We sell them ourselves. And we've built our own path to ownership for buyers who don't fit the traditional box, because nobody else in this market was doing it. When somebody gets the keys to a house they were told they'd never own, and their kids run through the front door for the first time. That's the whole reason this company exists. I'm looking for someone who wants to be the person on the other end of that phone. The opportunity We're growing fast. New homes going up, new lots coming online, our buyer platform launching, marketing running for the first time. All of it is producing conversations. And right now every one of those calls comes to my cell phone. Buyers, Realtors, showings, all of it. I'm the bottleneck, and I'm the last thing standing between this company and its next level. That's what this seat is. You'd be the front door of Azcension Homes. You would be the first voice anybody hears when they reach out to us, and increasingly, the face they recognize around town. This is a ground-floor seat at a company that's climbing. As we grow, this role grows. It's built to split into a team as volume increases, and the person who builds it gets first say in where they go next. I'm not going to promise you a title on a job posting. What I'll tell you is there's real room here, and I'd rather grow someone than go hire over them. What you'd actually be doing You answer. Somebody drives past a sign and calls. A Realtor wants to show one of our houses. A family fills out a form at 9pm because they finally worked up the nerve to ask if they can buy a home. You figure out what they need. You make them feel like somebody's actually in their corner. You set up the showings and follow up after every one. You connect buyers to our lender and make sure that handoff really landed. You keep everything documented so nobody falls through the cracks. And you tell me when something's serious enough that I need to step in. You won't be writing contracts or negotiating, I handle that. But you'll be in the room for it. If you want to learn how this business actually works, you'll learn more here in a year than most people learn in five. How the work actually happens Most of this job is done from wherever you are. There's no cubicle and no time clock. If you're taking calls and moving people forward, I don't care whether you're at your kitchen table or in your truck. But this isn't a work-from-anywhere job, and I want to be clear about that. You need to live in this market. When there's a showing in Arizona City, a event in Casa Grande, or a Chamber event in Eloy, you're there. Figure roughly a couple days a week out in the field and the rest of it remote. If you've been looking for a way out of sitting in an office all day without giving up being around people, this is that. You're helping build this brand This isn't a job where you sit behind a screen. You're out in it with me. Open houses. Community events. Chamber functions. Getting to know the Realtors in this county by name so that when they've got a buyer, we're who they think of. Being present in Casa Grande, Arizona City, and Eloy so that people know who Azcension Homes is and what we stand for. We're building a name in this market right now, in real time. Everything you do, every call you answer, every family you treat right, every event you show up to, becomes part of that. Five years from now when people in this county hear Azcension and know exactly what it means, you'll have been part of building that. If you like being out with people and you're good at making somebody feel welcome in about four seconds, you're going to like this part. We invest in our people I'm going to be specific here, because a lot of companies say this and don't do it. Paid time off, vacation and sick pay. If you're sick, be sick. If your kid's sick, go take care of your kid. I'm not going to make you burn a vacation day for the flu. We take a company retreat every year. Last year we went to Page. This year we're headed to Moab. It's not a trust fall exercise in a conference room, we get out of town, we work on the business together, and we actually enjoy each other. We send people to things. We attend the International Builders' Show in Las Vegas. We've paid for our team to attend Tony Robbins. If you find training that will make you better at what you do, bring it to me because I'd rather spend money making you sharper than replace you later. You'll also be sitting in on negotiations, lender conversations, and leadership meetings from the start. That's not a perk we advertise, it's just how a five-person company works, and it's the fastest education in this business you're going to find anywhere. Who I'm looking for Honestly? Personality first. I want somebody who smiles when they talk, and you can hear it through the phone. Somebody with real energy, not fake, cheerful, but genuinely glad to be talking to you. Somebody positive, because half the people who call us are nervous and embarrassed about their credit and they need to feel like they just reached a friend, not a company. I don't care if you've ever sold real estate. You don't need a license. I'll teach you the houses, the lots, the lending, all of it. What I can't teach is whether you actually like people. Whether somebody can be short with you at 2pm and you're still warm at 2:15. Whether you'll make the sixth follow-up call when most people quit after two. If you've done apartment leasing, car sales, solar, insurance, furniture, phones. Anything where you talked to strangers all day and had a number to hit, you already know if this is you. Spanish is a big plus. Not required, but a lot of the families we serve speak it, and it matters to them. What it's like here We're a small team and you'll work directly with me. When you fix something, everybody knows it was you. Your ideas get heard the same week you have them, not next quarter. We're also still building. You'll get handed things that are half finished and asked to help finish them. If that sounds frustrating, this isn't your spot. If that sounds like the best part, we should talk. Buyers don't call between 9 and 5, so the schedule flexes. We put guardrails on it, after hours rolls to voicemail and you pick it up in the morning, but some weeks run uneven. And I need this to be your main thing, not something you do while building something else on the side. Pay and benefits $55,000 to $65,000 depending on what you bring, plus a performance bonus. We'll build out exactly what that bonus is tied to in your first couple of months, once we see what the volume really looks like. I'm not going to make up numbers before I know them. Paid vacation and sick time. Flexible, mostly-remote schedule. Annual company retreat. Professional development paid for. How to apply Don't lead with your resume. Tell me about a time you turned a no into a yes. I read every one of them. Azcension Homes, LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
