The Manager, Partnerships & Premium will drive new business revenue through the sale of corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and premium seating and hospitality products ahead of MLV NorCal's 2027 launch. The ideal candidate combines strong new-business sales instincts with the relationship-management skills needed to grow accounts from the ground up. This role will manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through proposal development, negotiation, closing, and activation, working closely with marketing, ticket sales, and game/event operations to maximize revenue across all partnership and premium inventory. This position reports to the Director of Revenue.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, prospect, and close new corporate partnership and sponsorship opportunities with local, regional, and national companies
- Drive new business sales of premium seating, suites, VIP experiences, and hospitality inventory
- Develop and present tailored partnership and premium proposals, including signage, media, promotions, hospitality, and community elements
- Negotiate partnership agreements, contract terms, and renewals
- Manage a book of existing partner and premium accounts, ensuring high client satisfaction and identifying upsell opportunities
- Coordinate with the marketing and game/event operations teams to ensure accurate fulfillment and activation of partner and premium benefits
- Collaborate with the Director of Revenue and business analytics to build and maintain a strong prospect pipeline and leads strategy
- Provide consistent weekly and monthly reporting on pipeline, revenue, and account performance
- Represent MLV NorCal at prospect meetings, sales events, home games, and premium client functions
- Work closely with sales and service leadership to build a cohesive, high-performing team culture from day one
- Bring forward new ideas and creative sales approaches to grow partnership and premium revenue
- Embrace a "Fans First" approach in all client and partner interactions
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years of corporate partnership/sponsorship and/or premium sales experience; professional sports and/or entertainment preferred
- Demonstrated track record of generating new business and exceeding revenue goals
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, startup, build-from-scratch environment
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strategic, process-driven planner with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple accounts, proposals, and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments with a team-first mentality
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office/Keynote for proposal development
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays for home games and events
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Must be eligible to work in the U.
