We are seeking a driven, relationship-focused Outside Support Account Representative to grow our presence within an assigned territory. Position Summary The Outside Account Support Representative is responsible for maintaining and generating new business and managing existing accounts within an assigned geographic territory through support of sales and management of agreement related to medical equipment and supplies to hospitals, surgery centers, physician practices, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare providers. This is a field-based, quota-carrying role requiring regular engagement with customer sites, strong customer knowledge, and the ability to build trusted relationships with physicians, nurses, procurement staff, and administrators. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Sales & Business Development
  • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory to meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Conduct in-person visits, product support and demonstrations, and in-services at hospitals, clinics, healthcare facilities and rehab centers.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including therapists, nurses, materials management, and purchasing/procurement staff.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Execute a territory business plan, including account prioritization, call frequency, and pipeline management. Product & Clinical Knowledge
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of company products, including features, benefits, clinical applications, and competitive positioning.
  • Provide product support, basic in-servicing to clinical staff as needed - Company will provide training, including use and function of some products and provide a value proposition based on the product utilization.
  • Stay current on industry trends, competitor products, and relevant clinical literature. Account & Territory Management
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and contracts in coordination with internal sales support and management.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (customer service, logistics, clinical support, marketing) to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in the company CRM system.
  • Complete regular reports on performance, pipeline status, and territory trends for management.
  • Attend training and meetings as available and review literature/manuals provided by supervisors. Compliance
  • Adhere to all applicable healthcare compliance regulations, including HIPAA, Anti-Kickback Statute, Sunshine Act reporting, and any facility-specific vendor credentialing requirements (e.g., Vendormate, Reptrax, Symplr).
  • Complete all required compliance and vendor credentialing training prior to entering healthcare facilities.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and proprietary business information at all times. Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • 2+ years of account support experience preferred; medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare-related sales experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience in healthcare sales or patient support at hospitals, surgery centers, or physician offices is a plus.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding productivity targets in a field-based sales role. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clinical, administrative, and executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage a large territory and multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Comfortable in clinical/procedural environments, including operating rooms, when required for product support.
  • Proficient with CRM software (e.g., HubSpot), Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and healthcare facility vendor credentialing requirements.

  • Regular field work throughout the assigned territory required (60-80%), including some overnight travel.
  • Ability to lift and carry product samples, demonstration equipment, or marketing materials up to 25-40 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods when providing in-service training or operating room support.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required; mileage reimbursed per company policy.
  • Must be able to gain access to healthcare facilities, which may require immunizations, TB testing, and background checks per facility credentialing requirements. Compensation and Benefits
