Superior manufactures paperboard folding cartons for packaging users in various industries ranging from Food and Beverage to Electronics and other fast-moving Consumer Goods categories. Job Summary:
The Technical Account Representative serves as the key point of contact between customers, sales, prepress, production planning and manufacturing departments. This role maintains relationships and supports growth by managing customer orders from concept and quote through delivery, ensuring accuracy, responsiveness, and a high level of customer satisfaction. This position requires strong packaging industry knowledge, excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Technical Account Representative is expected to handle complex accounts, resolve issues independently, and help improve internal customer service processes.
Job Responsibilities:
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, sales, and cross-department teams. Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries by phone, email, and customer portals. Receive and review customer quote requests. Gather specifications and details required for accurate estimating. Generate estimates using ERP system. Understand each customer's ordering patterns, specifications, lead times, and expectations. Coordinate new structure and artwork submissions through design, preflight, and file prep. Track revisions, expectations, and approvals. Maintain specification records to ensure current and accurate information for production. Review purchase orders for accuracy. Identify and resolve discrepancies before orders are released to production. Communicate customer priorities, expectations, and special requirements to internal teams. Work closely with scheduling and production planning to balance customer expectations with plant capacity and operational capabilities. Track orders throughout the manufacturing process and provide proactive updates to customers. For customers on contracts or with more robust programs: o Maintain customer-facing dashboards. o Monitor finished goods inventory and coordinate releases. o Review forecast vs. actual to assess raw material needs and trigger new orders.

Multitude of dedicated support departments and technical experts: Quality, Design, Food Safety, Manufacturing, etc. Other Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required. 5+ years in paper-based custom packaging such as corrugated and/or folding carton. 5+ years in Project Management, or Account Management in a manufacturing environment. Experience with mid to large-size customers, preferably in food and other high-volume parallel industries.
  • Strong understanding of production workflows.
  • Ability to read and interpret production specs, estimates, proofs, and order history.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, ERP Software, and customer portals.

Monday thru Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm

Benefits, Onsite Wage Range:
$75,000-$90,000 annually, depending on experience.
