Full job description We are looking to hire a full-time Accounts Receivable Specialist in our Rock Hill office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Investigate and resolve unpaid balances. Work with patients to collect deductibles and co-insurance for scheduled tests. Maintain assigned AR work queues at a reasonable balances Work with leadership to resolve high balances. Thoroughly document patient account in the billing software. Assist patients with questions regarding statements or other information. Collect payments from patients via phone and assist patients in setting up payment plans as appropriate.
EDUCATION
: High School Graduate or
GED. EXPERIENCE
A minimum of two years accounts receivable experience collecting from patients within a health care organization. Additional education and/or general office experience is beneficial. Previous experience with NextGen is preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS
(Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities): The job holder must demonstrate current competencies applicable to job position including but not limited to: 1. Knowledge of computer systems, programs, and applications and general office duties. 2. Knowledge of medical y and billing terminology . 3. Knowledge of medical billing/collection practices. 4. Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines. 5. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in verbal and written form.
