Department SDSU-Cashier's Office Physical Location of Position (City) Brookings Posting Text South Dakota State University (SDState) is seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Accounts Receivable Department as a Student Accounts Specialist. This position is located in Brookings , South Dakota. This position is a 12-month, full-time, benefits-eligible position. The Cashier's Office manages the billing and accounts receivables for students, as well as receipts all University deposits. The Cashier's Office is customer-facing and the workload changes daily. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
: To provide support for Student Accounts Billings and Receivables to ensure proper student billings and proper reporting of transactions in Student and Financial Systems as well as to students and other entities.

QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related degree completed by date of application At least one year of experience in billing or a customer service role Effective written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills Valid drivers license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
: Experience with computer software systems such as Banner, Cognos, or other reporting software Financial information processing experience
