Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic seeking a Technical Account & Project Manager to own client alignment and the successful coordination and delivery of planned technology initiatives. This is a hybrid client management and project management role. It is not a sales position and is not an engineering position. The role requires enough technical understanding to effectively communicate with clients and technical teams, but responsibility is centered on organization, communication, coordination, and delivery. Responsibilities Client Management Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients outside of routine service desk activity. Maintain an understanding of client priorities, business needs, technology environment, and upcoming initiatives. Conduct and coordinate regular client reviews and technology planning discussions. Maintain client technology roadmaps and track identified initiatives through their lifecycle. Coordinate internally with technical, sales, service delivery, and executive teams as appropriate. Set and maintain clear expectations with clients regarding priorities, responsibilities, timelines, and next steps. Identify client needs and route them to the appropriate internal resource. This role is not responsible for selling or generating revenue. Project Management Own assigned projects from authorization through completion and handoff. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, requirements, dependencies, and deliverables. Coordinate technical resources without directly managing technical personnel. Coordinate client responsibilities, vendors, procurement, scheduling, and other project dependencies. Maintain consistent and appropriate project communication with clients and internal stakeholders. Identify risks, delays, scope concerns, and resource conflicts early and drive them toward resolution. Track project progress against established milestones, timelines, and budgets. Maintain project documentation and ensure projects are properly closed and transitioned into ongoing support. Role Boundaries This role owns coordination and delivery, not technical implementation. Technical design, architecture, engineering, configuration, troubleshooting, and implementation remain the responsibility of the appropriate technical resources. The Technical Account & Project Manager must be technically conversant enough to understand project requirements, facilitate discussions, ask appropriate questions, and communicate effectively between technical and nontechnical stakeholders. This position does not carry a sales quota and is not responsible for prospecting, closing business, or independently generating projects. Projects and initiatives may originate from technical staff, sales, executive leadership, clients, or the account management process. Success in This Role Performance will primarily be measured by the effectiveness and predictability of client and project delivery, including: Achievement of project milestones and delivery objectives. Timeliness and quality of client communication. Project organization, documentation, and follow-through. Management of dependencies, risks, and outstanding actions. Accuracy and visibility of project status. Successful project completion and transition to ongoing support. Quality and consistency of client account management. Client satisfaction and confidence in the delivery process. Qualifications Experience in project management, technical account management, IT services, managed services, or a similar client-facing technology environment. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent clients, projects, priorities, and dependencies. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Working knowledge of business IT infrastructure, cloud services, networking, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365, and related technologies. Ability to understand technical concepts without needing to perform the underlying engineering work. Strong ownership, follow-through, judgment, and attention to detail. Ability to identify problems early, establish clear next actions, and drive work toward completion.
