Job Description
The Accounts Specialist assists with the reconciliation, process improvement and Corporate support with national accounts and to prevent Company losses. Serves as a safety net to ensure rejections, disputes and chargebacks are resolved and invoices are paid in a timely fashion. Rush Enterprises, Inc. opens the door to the world of opportunity. Essential Job Functions Monitor daily accounts as assigned by region, including, but not limited to: IBS, Paccar MSC, Fleet Charge, Cash, and In House accounts. Analyze and collect past due balances, with emphasis on those subject to write off. Submit invoices into particular customer accounting systems and monitor rejections in a timely manner consistent with established guidelines and goals. Direct communication with dealers, customers, and Rush Accounting Department to locate past due receivables. Distribute reports weekly for management and the field. Escalate communication with dealer management and direct supervisor, then department manager if lack of dealer cooperation. Responsible for reconciliation, clearing overages, and shortages on internal accounts. Provide support to the locations regarding questions and training. Become proficient in multiple vendor/customer invoicing systems, policies, and procedures. Assist with any clerical needs as directed by management.
