Account Manager Glm Logistics Inc - 2.7 Plano, TX Job Details Part-time $15 - $20 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Vendor relationship building Customer communication Full Job Description GLM Management is seeking an Account Manager professional to manage and grow existing customer relationships while actively developing new business opportunities. GLM provides comprehensive waste and recycling management solutions for local, regional, and national customers. We work with a network of service providers to coordinate waste and recycling services, control costs, right-size service levels, improve recycling programs, and provide our customers with a single point of contact for their waste and recycling needs. Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of assigned customer accounts and serve as the primary point of contact for clients. Build strong, long-term customer relationships through regular communication, follow-up, and exceptional service. Review existing customer accounts to identify opportunities to upsell and expand services , including additional locations, waste services, recycling programs, equipment needs, and other GLM solutions. Actively pursue and develop new business , including prospecting, qualifying opportunities, presenting GLM services, preparing proposals, and closing new accounts. Coordinate waste and recycling services with GLM's network of vendors and service providers. Assist customers with new service setups, service changes, additional pickups, equipment needs, relocations, and other account requirements. Monitor accounts to ensure services are being performed properly and resolve service issues quickly and professionally. Evaluate service levels and recommend changes or right-sizing opportunities that improve efficiency and reduce customer costs. Work with vendors to obtain pricing, coordinate service, and resolve operational or billing issues. Review account activity, pricing, invoices, and service information for accuracy. Maintain accurate customer records, pricing, service details, sales activity, and account documentation. Identify opportunities for recycling, waste reduction, cost savings, and improved operational efficiency. Work closely with GLM's customer service, operations, accounting, vendors, and management teams to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Maintain ongoing communication with customers and proactively address potential problems before they become service issues. Meet established goals for customer retention, account growth, upselling, and new business sales . Qualifications Experience in account management, business development, outside/inside sales, customer service, or a related position preferred. Strong sales ability with the confidence to develop new business as well as grow established accounts. Excellent communication, organization, follow-up, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple customer accounts, locations, vendors, and service requests simultaneously. Comfortable negotiating pricing, discussing service options, and presenting solutions to customers. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate account and service information. Ability to work independently while also collaborating with multiple departments and outside service providers. Waste, recycling, environmental services, facilities management, or related industry experience is helpful but not required. The successful candidate will be both service-oriented and sales-driven — someone who can take ownership of customer accounts, solve problems, develop trusted client relationships, identify opportunities for additional services, and bring new customers to GLM.
