Student Account Representative The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia $38,480 United States, Virginia, Wise Jul 21, 2026 The University of Virginia's College at Wise invites applications for a Student Account Representative in the Cashier's Office. This position plays a key role in providing exceptional customer service while supporting the College's student financial operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payments to student accounts, including tuition, fees, housing, and meal plans; receiving and reconciling departmental deposits; and assisting students, parents, faculty, staff, and community members with a variety of payment-related services, including meal plan purchases and account inquiries. Additional responsibilities include balancing and reconciling daily cash receipts, preparing student refund checks, administering payment plans, and performing a variety of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and administrative tasks as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience using Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.
Demonstrated initiative, dependability, and strong customer service orientation. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
Previous experience in cashiering, accounting, student accounts, or a related financial services role in higher education or a similar customer-focused environment.
