We're hiring an Account Manager to lead business growth across a portfolio of strategic accounts — partnering with our business unit teams, crafting winning capture strategies, and closing deals on highly engineered components and sub-systems in the commercial aviation market.
What You Will Do:
As an Account Manager , you will be the primary driver of business growth within a strategic portfolio of new and existing customers. You will lead the sales pursuit of highly engineered components and sub-systems across our specialized business units: Components, Utility Control Systems, and Displays & DCU. Partnering closely with Business Unit leadership and product line teams, you will provide both strategic and tactical direction to cross-functional proposal teams. Your mission is to develop winning offerings and navigate complex negotiations from the initial lead all the way to final contract execution.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop strong partner partnerships with your customers, including OEM and Tier 1 target growth accounts. Establish and implement the sales action plan required to meet and exceed bookings goals. Develop capture strategies and leads plans for new business. Collaborate with the business unit teams for the elaboration of business cases and to ensure that sales plans are integrated into the bid response strategy. Work together with go-to-market partners to drive towards successful results. Leverage your market network and contacts and use competitive research and analysis to make recommendations about internal investment and resource allocation. Provide accurate forecasting for short- and long-term bookings and maintain a sales funnel. Stay current on commercial aviation OEM and integrator markets and industry trends. Communicate and present critical data, report summaries, market analysis and strategic recommendations to all levels of management. Challenge the status quo, helping the team get better every day. Negotiate and come to agreement on all solutions strategy, goals and objectives with your customers. Performs special projects/tasks as assigned Preferred Education Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Engineering or Business. MBA is a plus! Preferred Experience Highly motivated and self-driven, competitive, strong desire to "Win" Strong track record of building collaborative relationships with internal peer groups and external customers and partners. A strong background in commercial aviation, particularly in managing aftermarket sales and customer relationships with major commercial airline operators. Comfortable with a highly dynamic and changing work environment. Exposure to distribution channels and a strong understanding of the aerospace aftermarket landscape P referred Specialized Skills and Abilities Solid business acumen and thought leadership in sales, marketing, operations and account P/L. Prior key account management experience are desired. Strong capabilities in MS Office (Excel, word, power point). Demonstrated success closing large sales on major programs and a track record of sales accomplishments. Excellent networking skills and the ability to build lasting customer relationships. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel as required, up to 50% of the time. Frequent use of personal computers, database and digital platforms, and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machines and computer printers. Frequently uses hands, fingers, and arms to reach, handle, touch or feel equipment, materials, and computer. The person in this position needs to frequently move inside the office Frequent close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Salary Range Please note the typical hiring range is $132,000 - $178,000 annually. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
