Project Assistant

We are looking for a dependable Project Assistant to support graduation event operations in California. This is a Contract position within the services industry, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and helping events run smoothly. The person in this role will guide graduates through photo line procedures, assist event staff with coordination tasks, and contribute to a positive experience for students and guests. Candidates who are organized, attentive to detail, and comfortable handling on-site logistics will be well suited for this opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Support photographers during graduation ceremonies by directing students through staging and photo lines in an orderly manner
• Provide clear instructions to graduates on where to stand, when to move forward, and how to proceed during the event
• Monitor attendance or name lists and mark graduates as they are called to the stage
• Assist with distributing and gathering name cards, promotional materials, or other event-related items
• Help maintain presentation standards by making minor adjustments, such as straightening tassels before photos are taken
• Participate in basic event setup and breakdown activities, including organizing materials and light equipment
• Coordinate with the on-site team lead to ensure schedules, flow, and location-specific instructions are followed
• Communicate clearly with students, staff, and guests to support a positive event experience
