This role is at the heart of customer facing events for high growth opportunities. Embi Tec customers are educators and research scientists looking for and using products to uncover the mysteries of DNA. In this on-site position, you will organize and coordinate marketing events, be the conduit between customers and our technical support team, handle bids, and work with the marketing manager to support various projects, which include data projects, physical and digital organization of material. You will work with internal and external teams via phone and email, and manage inquiries in a timely, professional, and helpful manner. There are opportunities for the right candidate to learn about a variety of job roles and gain cross-training experience. Essential Job Functions (duties & responsibilities): Use software to accurately track conference and professional development information, including but not limited to dates, locations, due dates, materials needed, supporting personnel Create google or smartsheet forms to collect information, and disseminate data Gather, pack, ship and keep track of demo equipment. Communicate with stakeholders regarding various marketing events and projects Act as a point of contact for conferences and PD organizers, submitting logistics, workshop information on time, paying bills, and working with show organizers to ensure we are getting what we want for marketing events. Work directly with customers inquiring about technical support, and work with internal teams to resolve technical issues, generate technical support reports for the sales and engineering teams. Gather and complete documentation and bids for vendor approvals. Enter and clean up data for various projects as needed (multi-platform) Perform other tasks as assigned/as needed during times when other departments need assistance.
Requirements:

must be willing to follow-through and see a challenging task to the end.
Strong customer service focus:
ability and desire to problem solve, use sound judgment, and follow through on customer requests or concerns.
Language Skills:
Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing to external customers and internal teams to keep the process running smoothly. Must have the ability to organize, prioritize and manage time and work effectively. Must be able to follow directions and show reasonable mastery google sheets or equivalent within the probation period.
Self starter:
Willingness to learn by asking questions, reading available materials.
Organizational skills:
Able to organize and keep physical and digital information filed correctly. The ideal candidate will have some basic knowledge of biology/molecular biology lab techniques, or have worked in a similar position. Preferred candidates will have previous experience working in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Life science experience/degree is helpful, not required.
