Event Breakdown Associate Valhalla Tahoe Seasonal, Part-Time | September-December 2026 $20/hour | Approximately 8:00-11:00 PM Valhalla Tahoe is seeking a reliable, hardworking Event Breakdown Associate to join our events team for the remainder of the 2026 season. This is a hands-on, physical position focused specifically on the final hours of weddings and special events at Valhalla. The Event Breakdown Associate works alongside our evening Event Lead to help keep the property clean throughout the end of the event and ensure our event spaces are properly broken down, cleaned, and prepared for the following day. Responsibilities
- Break down and move Valhalla-owned tables, chairs, and other event furniture at the conclusion of weddings and events.
- Return furniture to designated storage areas or reset tables and chairs for the following day's event.
- Monitor trash and recycling during the final hours of events and remove as needed.
- Empty event-area trash and transport it to designated disposal areas.
- Sweep and mop event spaces at the end of the evening.
- Assist with general event breakdown and cleanup as directed by the Valhalla Event Lead.
- Help ensure the Grand Hall and surrounding event areas are clean, organized, and ready for the next day.
- Report any damage, maintenance concerns, or unusual issues to the Event Lead before leaving. Schedule This is a seasonal, part-time position with shifts generally running 8:00-11:00 PM . The majority of shifts will be:
- Thursdays-Sundays in September
- Fridays-Sundays in October
- Select weekend dates in November and December A schedule of available event dates will be provided in advance. What We're Looking For
- Reliable and punctual, particularly for scheduled evening shifts.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a small event team.
- Able to follow instructions and complete closing tasks efficiently.
- Comfortable with physical work, including moving tables and chairs, lifting, bending, sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash.
- Willing to work late evenings and weekends.
- Previous event, hospitality, custodial, or facilities experience is helpful but not required.
- Must be able to safely lift and move event furniture and supplies.
About the Role This is not an event management or guest-facing position . The primary focus of this role is event breakdown, cleaning, furniture reset, and preparing Valhalla for the following day. For someone looking for supplemental evening work, this position offers short, predictable shifts in a unique event setting on the shores of Lake Tahoe.
