Job Overview Marketing Assistant & Social Media Coordinator Pay:
$23 - $25 per hour
Job Type:
Part-Time Schedule:
5-hour shifts (20-30 hours per week); weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed

In-person Position Summary The Marketing Assistant & Social Media Coordinator provides executional, creative, and administrative support to the Director of Marketing & Brand Strategy to ensure timely, organized, and brand-aligned delivery of marketing initiatives across Lorimar Winery. This role serves as a key operational partner in translating strategic direction into coordinated campaigns, social media execution, visual assets, and marketing deliverables that support winery revenue, event visibility, wine club engagement, and overall brand consistency. The position is implementation-focused and does not hold independent authority over brand strategy, messaging decisions, or marketing budgets.
Reporting Relationship Direct Supervisor:
Director of Marketing & Brand Strategy Collaborative (non-reporting) relationships include: Wine Club Coordinator Events Lead Facilities & Operations This role does not supervise staff or independently manage vendors, budgets, or approvals without Director authorization. Core Responsibilities 1. Social Media Management Develop, schedule, and publish daily content across major platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, X). Implement platform-specific strategies aligned with brand direction. Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a brand-appropriate manner. Support community engagement and audience growth initiatives. Attend events to capture and post live social media content. Assist with influencer research, outreach, and campaign support. Track and analyze performance metrics and optimize content accordingly. Produce monthly social media performance reports. 2. Marketing Execution & Campaign Support Assist in executing weekly, monthly, and seasonal campaigns. Prepare and schedule email communications and promotions. Track timelines and maintain organized campaign documentation. Support multi-channel marketing initiatives including digital, print, and email. Assist with paid media campaigns in coordination with the Director. 3. Content Creation & Design Create engaging videos, photography, graphics, and copy. Brainstorm, script, and develop original social and digital content. Design visual assets aligned with brand guidelines. Develop promotional materials (flyers, ads, brochures, wine club inserts). Resize and adapt assets for multiple formats. Proofread and edit content for accuracy and consistency. Maintain organized digital asset libraries. 4. Photography & Videography Capture lifestyle, event, and product content with emphasis on video storytelling. Perform basic editing using Adobe Suite, CapCut, or similar tools. Maintain shot lists, scripts, and content calendars. Manage organized storage of visual assets. 5. Website & Digital Support Assist with website updates in WordPress. Support webstore and promotional updates. Ensure content accuracy and brand alignment. Report technical issues or inconsistencies. 6. Event & Wine Club Marketing Support Provide marketing support for winery events and wine club initiatives. Prepare newsletters, collateral, signage, menus, and inserts. Coordinate with Events and Hospitality teams to align materials with guest experience. 7. Administrative & Workflow Support Maintain project trackers and marketing calendar. Assist with invoice tracking and documentation. Prepare presentation materials and reports. Provide additional support during peak seasons. 8. Other Operational Marketing Support Update menus and print collateral as needed. Create and assemble table tents and promotional materials. Support partner communications (event listings, wine updates, etc). Additional duties as assigned consistent with business needs. Role Guardrails The Marketing Assistant supports execution of the marketing strategy established by the Director of Marketing & Brand Strategy and does not: Set strategy Approve messaging Control budgets Direct vendors independently Make final creative decisions All work is performed within established brand governance. Qualifications Education & Experience Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred Minimum 2 years of marketing or social media experience Hospitality, wine, lifestyle, or events experience preferred Technical Skills Adobe Creative Suite, Canva Email marketing platforms (Constant Contact, Mailchimp, etc.) Social media tools and Meta Business Suite WordPress or CMS experience Google Drive/Analytics Microsoft Word proficiency SEO, AIO and paid advertising familiarity Core Competencies Strong organizational and time-management skills Attention to detail and brand consistency Ability to manage multiple projects Creative problem solving Professional communication skills Collaborative, positive, and adaptable mindset Physical & Work Environment Ability to sit or stand for extended periods Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, and events Success Measures Performance will be evaluated based on: Timeliness and accuracy of deliverables Quality and creativity of content Consistency with brand standards Effectiveness of workflow support Contribution to campaign execution and engagement
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 30.0 per week
