This role is crucial in ensuring the successful planning and execution of both internal and external marketing & fundraising events, including special events, press releases, media engagements, and the oversight of our employee and family newsletter. This role also supports the Development Department with donor relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience in event management, media relations, marketing communications, content creation, and administrative skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Function as administrative support to Director of Development Plan, coordinate, and manage internal and external marketing events, including special events, conferences, and promotional activities. Develop and maintain a detailed schedule of all marketing events, ensuring timely execution and coordination. Oversee the production and distribution of press releases, ensuring accurate and timely dissemination to the appropriate media outlets. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all marketing efforts. Manage event logistics, vendor coordination, and budget management. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing events and activities, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Create, edit and distribute the employee, donor and family newsletters, ensuring content is engaging, relevant, and aligned with company values. Assist in the creation of marketing materials and content as needed. Donor database management Establish and maintain donor relations by coordinating high-quality solicitation materials, annual impact reporting and overseeing the end-to-end gift acknowledgement process. Manage social media accounts The successful candidate will have: Proven experience in event planning, marketing communications, or a similar role. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with a keen eye for detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders. Experience in content creation, particularly in writing and editing newsletters or similar communications. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and marketing software/tools (e.g., CRM, email marketing platforms).
