Job Description

A growing multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm is seeking a Marketing & Business Development Coordinator to support strategic growth initiatives, proposal development, and operational efficiency across the organization. This individual will play a key role in coordinating pursuits, managing marketing assets, supporting business development efforts, and improving internal processes that help drive continued growth. This position is ideal for someone with experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry who enjoys both the creative and organizational sides of marketing and business development. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, thrive in a deadline-driven environment, and enjoy collaborating with technical professionals, project managers, and leadership teams. Key Responsibilities Proposal & Pursuit Coordination Lead the coordination and production of RFQs, RFPs, SOQs, and other proposal submissions. Manage proposal schedules, deadlines, compliance requirements, and deliverable tracking. Coordinate with technical staff and leadership to gather project information, resumes, project descriptions, and supporting materials. Assist with proposal writing, editing, formatting, and quality control. Maintain and organize proposal content libraries, project profiles, and qualifications databases. Support interview preparation efforts, including presentation development and coordination. Marketing & Communications Assist with the development and execution of marketing initiatives that increase brand awareness and support business growth. Coordinate updates to marketing collateral, project sheets, resumes, presentations, and digital content. Support internal and external communications efforts. Assist in maintaining website content, social media activity, and other marketing platforms. Track marketing metrics and prepare reports for leadership as needed. Business Development Support Assist leadership and project teams in identifying and tracking project opportunities. Maintain CRM and pursuit tracking systems to ensure accurate reporting and visibility. Support market research efforts and competitor analysis. Coordinate conference participation, networking events, client meetings, and industry engagement activities. Help develop pursuit strategies and client-facing materials that support business development initiatives. Operations & Process Improvement Help establish, maintain, and improve business development and marketing workflows. Utilize project management platforms to track assignments, deadlines, and team responsibilities. Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency across departments. Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by leadership. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. 2-4 years of experience within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry in a marketing, proposal coordination, business development, or operations-focused role. Prior experience supporting RFQ, RFP, SOQ, and proposal development efforts is required. Understanding of professional services marketing and pursuit processes within the engineering, architecture, or construction industry. Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, and Teams. Experience utilizing project management tools such as Monday.com, Asana, Smartsheet, ClickUp, or similar platforms. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management abilities. Ability to manage multiple concurrent deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience working within an engineering consulting, architecture, planning, environmental, or related professional services organization. Familiarity with CRM platforms and opportunity tracking systems. Experience supporting interview presentations, qualifications packages, and client-facing marketing materials.
