Insurance verification experience is required, preferably in a mental health, behavioral health, psychology, or medical setting. Responsibilities Billing & Insurance Verify insurance eligibility and benefits through online portals and by phone . Verify deductibles, copays, coinsurance, coverage, authorizations, and client responsibility. Accurately document insurance verification information. Provide clients with estimated testing costs and explain their financial responsibility. Contact clients regarding outstanding or delinquent balances and collect payments. Assist with billing questions, payment processing, and resolving account discrepancies. Maintain accurate and confidential billing and client records. Marketing & Outreach Assist with weekly marketing activities . Attend community and marketing events on behalf of the company. Professionally represent the company to potential clients, referral sources, businesses, and community organizations. Distribute marketing materials and assist with building referral relationships. Follow up with marketing contacts and assist with outreach projects as needed. Create marketing materials Additional Duties Provide general administrative support as needed. Communicate professionally with clients, staff, insurance companies, and referral sources. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Learn and navigate the practice's electronic systems, insurance portals, and other software.
Qualifications Required:
Insurance verification experience Experience verifying insurance benefits by phone and online Strong communication and customer service skills Comfortable discussing costs, payments, and outstanding balances with clients Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills Strong computer skills Reliable transportation Ability to attend occasional marketing/community events Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred:
Experience in mental health, behavioral health, psychology, psychiatric, or medical billing Familiarity with mental health insurance benefits and patient responsibility Medical or mental health billing/collections experience Experience with EHR or practice management systems Previous marketing, community outreach, or referral development experience Benefits Eligible employees may have access to the following benefits. IRA/Retirement plan Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays Schedule & Compensation Part-Time | Tuesday-Thursday | $19.00/hour Occasional flexibility may be needed for marketing or community events outside of regular hours. Candidates with mental health or behavioral health insurance verification experience are strongly preferred.

$19.00 per hour Expected hours: 24.0 - 30.0 per week
