Job Summary Join our vibrant tennis community as a Tennis Pro Shop Assistant, where you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining the lively atmosphere of our outdoor sports facility. In this dynamic position, you will assist visitors with equipment and merchandise, manage retail transactions, and support event operations. Your enthusiasm for tennis and customer service will help create memorable moments for players of all ages and skill levels. This paid role offers an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for sports, hospitality, and community engagement while ensuring safety and smooth operations at our venue. Responsibilities 1. Day to day responsible for efficient and friendly customer service, ringing up charges, properly checking in members prior to play. 2. Responsible for providing quality service and filling out any order forms for members. 3. Assist in monthly inventory controls and merchandise display areas as needed. 4. Perform close of business functions following guidelines and procedures established by the club when pro shop coordinator is out. 5. Must be able to interact with members and guests professionally, helping them with last-minute changes. 6. Assist in putting new merchandise into inventory and on displays as needed. 7. Assist with daily tasks such as department usage and daily department reports. 8. Answer phone calls, book courts, and send or respond to emails when pro shop coordinator is absent. 9. Stock the pro shop as needed with cans of balls, clean towels, cups, etc. 10. Assist with pop-up shops by helping with packing, loading, display support, and helping members check out items they would like to purchase during the event. 11. Assist during tennis matches, tennis mixers, or special events when needed. Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or hospitality environments preferred Strong customer service skills with an energetic, positive attitude Ability to handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems Knowledge of basic math for transaction processing and inventory management Experience working with children or in youth programs is a plus Familiarity with event venue operations or outdoor work environments highly desirable Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of equipment or supplies Excellent communication skills for public speaking and guest interactions Knowledge of safety protocols related to sports facilities or food service experience is advantageous Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions; previous outdoor work experience is beneficial Join us as a Tennis Pro Shop Assistant to bring energy, professionalism, and a passion for sport to our lively community hub. Pay:
$12.00 - $15.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 25.0 per week
