PURPOSE / POSITION SUMMARY
The graduate position reports to the Head Track Cross Country Coach. The Track /Cross Country Graduate Assistant is sensitive to the needs of a diverse student body and is committed to assisting the Department of Athletics in enhancing and supporting the student development experience consistent with the mission of a Sinsinawa Dominican Catholic liberal arts university.
JOB COMPONENTS/PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Track / Cross Country Graduate Assistant is responsible for but not limited to: Adhering to conference, NCAA, Title IX, Department of Athletics and University rules and regulations; Assisting with event management and/or serving as contest manager; Assisting with the recruitment of academically and athletically qualified prospective student-athletes to maintain the roster range; Assisting in team operations including management of budget and agency accounts, the development of the contest schedule, the monitoring of the student-athletes' academic performance, managing team uniforms, equipment and supplies; Assisting in the coordination of team travel and meals including assisting in the coordination of team transportation needs with the appropriate Department of Athletics staff; Assisting in the coordination of team fundraising; Accepting and fulfilling other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong leadership and collaborative abilities Ability to multi-task effectively and strong attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Competence with computer skills Ability to work evenings and weekends
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree required Playing experience at the intercollegiate level preferred A background screening is required upon hire
