THE MUSEUM
The New Orleans African American Museum (NOAAM) is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Event & Campus Support to assist with the execution of events and the upkeep of our museum campus. This role is essential to ensuring smooth operations, from event setup and breakdown to supporting artists and vendors. Event Production Support Responsibilities Set up and break down event spaces (tables, chairs, tents, signage, A/V equipment) Ensure all spaces align with event layouts and production plans Reset spaces post-event and assist with walkthroughs Storage & Organization Maintain organized storage areas (pods, sheds, supply rooms) Track inventory and manage event materials Implement labeling and storage systems Vendor Support Assist vendors with load-in/load-out Help vendors get situated and respond to logistical needs Coordinate with event leads to resolve issues Artist Support Assist artists with setup, installation, and breakdown Provide hands-on support with materials and equipment Help create a welcoming and supportive environment Campus Support Support general upkeep of museum grounds Assist with routine walkthroughs and operational readiness Help manage shared equipment and supplies Qualifications Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks Strong organizational and communication skills Flexible availability (evenings/weekends required) Experience in events, production, or facilities is a plus Preferred Experience working with artists or cultural programming Familiarity with community-based work Proactive and team-oriented mindsetJob Type:
