Job Description

Total Environmental Concepts, Inc., one of the top environmental companies in Maryland, DC and Virginia, has a current opening for a Bid & Marketing Coordinator. This position will play a vital role in the continued growth and operation of the company and handle a multitude of challenging and critical tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing estimating duties on a professional level and works closely with the TEC's Estimating Manager. The Bid & Marketing Coordinator will work with the Estimating team to locate, prepare and submit proposals, as well as other duties as assigned. The successful candidate will also assist with other marketing tasks and website content creation for TEC and its subsidiary, UXO Pro. Essential Functions Utilize bid boards and public project sites to locate new opportunities to assess. Determine if potential projects are good matches for TEC priorities. Track activity of bids via Hubspot and verify deadlines are met. Work with Estimating team to determine scope of project for bidding and estimating purposes. Assist with the preparation and coordination of bid documents, production, subcontractor and vendor pricing and project turnover to Project Manager. Assist with website updates including preparation of new content. Assist with preparation of and attend conferences to market
TEC & UXO.
Maintain open and professional communications as well as a good working relationship with staff, clients and potential clients. Requirements A Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience is required. Minimum of 1 year of experience in the construction industry. Minimum of 2 years experience in marketing, website or related areas. High level of comfort and experience using Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, etc.) and Hubspot (or similar CRM software.) Knowledge of construction contracts and terminology is highly desirable. Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for all projects and make sure items are updated in Hubspot and saved within our cloud infrastructure. Ability to stay organized and use time efficiently. This position will be working on multiple opportunities at the same time and needs to be able to work both in a team setting and independently. Ability to meet both internal and external deadlines. Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation skills. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment with some travel to job sites to complete bid/proposal work onsite in meetings. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other office machines or equipment. Physical Demands The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an office employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employee will occasionally be required to travel to potential job sites and must be able to sit, stand and carry laptop and documents for meetings. Position Type/Days & Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday thru Friday generally from 8:30am to 5pm. Hours may fluctuate depending on bid/proposal meetings and deadlines. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vacation, Flex Spending, Retirement and Holidays after the initial probationary period.
