Marketing Coordinator and Administrative Assistant Overview This in-house position reports directly to the Senior Director of Operations of Love in Action. The Marketing Coordinator/Administrative Assistant must be creative and enjoy working in an environment that is mission-driven and community-oriented. They should be a self-starter and be solution focused. The ideal candidate will be able to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, be detail oriented and highly organized. They must have strong written and oral communication skills. The Marketing Coordinator/Administrative Assistant will be able to work on projects independently and handle confidential matters with discretion.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
As a critical team member in the area of marketing, this person will assist with key marketing projects to help promote the organization's programs and services through print and online media. Such projects will include, but not be limited to, graphic design, newsletters, brochures, press releases, website maintenance, Facebook, Constant Contact, etc. They will serve as a strategic partner in the planning and implementation of marketing campaigns, donor engagement, and events for all Love in Action departments. Marketing
  • Prepare periodic newsletters
  • Design new and edit existing print material; Oversee reorders as necessary; Graphic design a plus
  • Prepare periodic Constant Contact communications and social media posts
  • Maintain appropriate mailing/emailing lists for a variety of communications
  • Oversee social media and website to ensure each is updated appropriately and accurately
  • Work with each LIA department on their individual marketing needs and strategies
  • Work on fundraising events and campaigns to ensure appropriate marketing plans and material are incorporated in the event
  • Represent the organization at special expos and events
  • Attend all marketing related events
  • Prepare PowerPoint and other media presentations
  • Preform basic photography and video capturing and editing
  • Oversee maintenance of materials and branding for expos and events
  • Monitor reviews from online sites
  • Manage events calendars and forms Administrative
  • Assist with special projects as assigned in assistance to other departments
  • Assist with offsite events, staff retreats, lunch and learns, etc.
  • Serves as backup to the Senior Director of Operations and Administrative team.

  • Good people skills
  • 2 years of experience in marketing or a related field
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook, and graphic design software programs
  • Proficient in social media and web platforms; familiarity with WordPress a plus
  • Knowledge of marketing best practices
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Good organization and time management skills, being able to multi-task
  • The ability to develop and work with processes and systems
  • Extremely organized with attention to details
  • Self-motivated and able to work within deadlines
  • Non-profit experience a plus Education Undergraduate degree in marketing or relevant field preferred Base Working Hours This position is 20 hours requiring some flexibility Benefits Paid PTO in accord with Employee Handbook Simple IRA, available after one year, if qualified
