Position Summary This position reports directly to the Assistant Athletic Director (AD) for Facilities and Event Sales and is responsible for the sales and administration of all events in the Sherrill, Justice, and Student Recreation Centers. Division Office of the Chancellor

Minimum Qualifications Notice Some state job postings say you can qualify by an "equivalent combination of education and experience." If that language appears below, then you may qualify through EITHER years of education OR years of directly related experience, OR a combination of both. Minimum Education/Experience/Skills Bachelor's degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of sales and marketing, preferably in a sports facility, convention center, performing arts facility or other multi-purpose public assembly facility. Ability to develop, implement, sell, and promote events, including the use of social media.
Knowledge and ability to use event management software, operate computerized ticketing, develop and implement operational policies and procedures and work with numerous and diverse clientele.
Ability to track finances including check requests, invoicing and reporting.
Ability to work well under pressure, possess ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously and re-prioritize efforts when plans change.
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work well in a team environment. Work Schedule and Hours Ability to work extended and irregular hours with a variable schedule including weekends and holidays to service booked events.
