Event Operations Intern -
Transportation & Parking Position Overview:
EPI Events is seeking a motivated and dependable Event Operations Intern - Transportation & Parking to assist with the planning and execution of parking and transportation operations at major sporting events. This is a hands-on opportunity for a young professional interested in sports, event management, venue operations, or event logistics to gain valuable experience working behind the scenes at live sporting events. The intern will work closely with the Director of Operations and event staff to help prepare for and execute events, including UNC Football and Basketball games. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and excited about gaining real-world experience in the sports and event industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and maintain event deployment sheets outlining staffing assignments, locations, schedules, and operational details. Assist with staffing and creating event jobs using EPI Events' scheduling/software platform. Assist the Director of Operations with event logistics, planning, and administrative tasks. Provide on-site operational support for Football and Basketball games at the University of North Carolina and Duke University. Assist with parking and transportation operations before, during, and after events. Help coordinate event staff and ensure team members are properly assigned and positioned. Assist with event-day communication between EPI Events leadership, staff, and venue/event partners. Help identify and communicate operational issues during events. Complete post-event administrative tasks and assist with gathering information for future events. Perform other duties as assigned to support successful event operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old. Current college student preferred, particularly those studying: Sport Management Event Management Related fields Strong interest in sports and live event operations. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Reliable and punctual. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while also taking direction from event leadership. Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions when required. Ability to work nights, weekends, and event-day schedules.

Schedule:
