Job Description
Position Summary The Marketing Coordinator supports the National Safety Council - Nebraska Chapter's marketing and communications efforts to increase awareness of the organization, promote programs and services, engage members and customers, and advance NSCN's mission. This position assists with digital marketing, website content, email communications, social media, promotional campaigns, marketing materials, and other initiatives that strengthen the NSCN brand and support organizational goals. The Marketing Coordinator also provides planning, promotional, and logistical support for NSCN conferences, recognition programs, meetings, and special events. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Marketing and Communications Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns that promote NSCN programs, training, membership, products, services, and events. Create and coordinate content for email marketing, social media, website, newsletters, and other communication channels. Maintain and update website content to ensure information is accurate, timely, engaging, and consistent with NSCN branding. Develop promotional materials and marketing content in coordination with the Marketing Manager and other departments. Support digital advertising and other outreach efforts designed to increase awareness, participation, and engagement. Maintain consistent use of NSCN and National Safety Council branding across marketing materials and communication channels. Assist with marketing calendars, campaign schedules, and coordination of communications across programs and departments. Proofread and review marketing materials for accuracy, consistency, and quality. Digital Marketing and Social Media Assist with managing NSCN's social media presence and developing regular, engaging content. Schedule and publish social media posts and monitor engagement. Support email marketing campaigns, including development, scheduling, distribution, and list coordination. Assist with monitoring website, email, social media, and digital advertising performance. Help identify opportunities to improve digital engagement and expand NSCN's reach. Program and Membership Promotion Work with NSCN departments to promote training programs, safety resources, membership benefits, products, and other services. Develop marketing materials and communications that support member recruitment, engagement, and retention. Assist with promotional campaigns for new and existing programs. Coordinate with staff to gather program information, success stories, photographs, testimonials, and other content for marketing purposes. Events and Recognition Programs Provide marketing and logistical support for NSCN conferences, recognition programs, meetings, and special events. Assist with promotion, registration communications, signage, printed materials, presentations, and other event-related materials. Support coordination with speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, vendors, award recipients, and attendees as needed. Assist with event setup, on-site activities, and post-event follow-up. Support promotion and execution of NSCN signature events, including the Annual Safety Conference & Expo and Celebration of Safety. Administrative and Organizational Support Maintain organized marketing files, photographs, promotional materials, and related resources. Coordinate with vendors and outside partners on printing, promotional products, advertising, and other marketing needs. Assist with tracking marketing expenses and maintaining appropriate documentation. Participate in departmental and organizational planning activities. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write clear, engaging, and professional marketing content. Knowledge of social media and digital marketing platforms. Ability to manage website content and learn new digital platforms and marketing tools. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work collaboratively across departments. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and common marketing and communication technology. Graphic design or content creation experience is preferred. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business, or a related field preferred. Previous experience in marketing, communications, digital media, or a related field preferred. Experience with social media, email marketing, website content management, or graphic design is beneficial. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Pay:
$42,500.00 - $46,500.00 per yearBenefits:
