This is not a desk-heavy marketing position. We want someone who enjoys creating great content, meeting people, being involved in the community, and finding fun ways to get more people talking about and visiting Tanoan Kava. Our Marketing Department will provide overall direction, branded materials, campaigns, and support. Your job is to bring those ideas to life locally. $18-$22/hour, depending on experience You don't need years of professional marketing experience to be successful in this role. If you're outgoing, creative, comfortable with social media, know how to make a great Reel, and aren't afraid to get out into the community and talk to people, we want to hear from you. Core ResponsibilitiesCreate Great Content Take photos and videos at Tanoan Kava, and events happening within Avanyu Plaza. Create fun, engaging Reels and short-form videos Keep up with trends, sounds, and content ideas Capture the people, atmosphere, drinks, events, and personality of Tanoan, and Avanyu Plaza. Help keep Tanoan active and relevant on social media Learn the history of kava and become an educator in the market about the natural benefits of kava and kava bars. Be Tanoan in the Community Attend select local and Avanyu Plaza events Hand out flyers and promotional materials provided by our Marketing Department Talk to people about Tanoan and help introduce the brand to new customers Highlight our location within Avanyu Plaza and our BYOF policy, encouraging guests to enjoy local food from nearby restaurants. Look for simple opportunities to connect with nearby businesses and organizations Help promote Tanoan events and activities Help Make Things Happen Help promote upcoming events Capture content during events Share ideas for content, collaborations, and local opportunities Communicate opportunities back to the Marketing Director Be willing to jump in when there is a good opportunity to get Tanoan in front of new people Who We're Looking For The right personality matters more to us than having an extensive marketing résumé. Outgoing, friendly, and comfortable talking to people Creative and naturally interested in social media Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new apps and platforms Familiar with Instagram, TikTok, Reels, and current trends Comfortable taking photos and videos Comfortable being on camera when needed Self-motivated and able to take an idea and run with it Dependable and responsive Excited to get involved in the Albuquerque community Familiar with Albuquerque and the local community is a plus Previous social media, content creation, hospitality, events, or promotional experience is preferred, but personality, creativity, reliability, and initiative are our biggest priorities. What Success Looks Like We don't expect this person to be a full marketing department.

Success means:

Great content is consistently being created. Tanoan is showing up in the community. More people are discovering Tanoan Kava, and Avanyu Plaza by co-marketing. Events and promotions are being supported. The person brings energy, ideas, and personality to the brand. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys meeting people, creating content, and finding fun ways to get Tanoan Kava in front of more people.

Pay:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 10.0 per week
