Flexible; weekdays, evenings, and weekends depending on scheduled events Full Indeed Job Description Charcuterie Workshop Leader & Event Assistant Gouda Giggles Charcuterie is looking for reliable, outgoing, and motivated individuals to join our growing team as Workshop Leaders & Event Assistants. This is a per diem position with opportunities to work a variety of workshops, catering events, pop-ups, grazing table setups, corporate events, and other Gouda Giggles experiences throughout the Capital Region and surrounding areas. While this is not a guaranteed set weekly schedule, we have plenty of events and opportunities available for team members who have flexibility and want to work. What You'll Do Depending on the event, responsibilities may include: Leading or assisting with interactive charcuterie workshops Teaching guests how to create charcuterie boards and other food-art experiences Preparing, portioning, arranging, and styling food Setting up and breaking down workshops and events Assisting with grazing tables and catering setups Working Gouda Giggles pop-ups and special events Interacting with guests and creating a welcoming, fun experience Selling Gouda Giggles products at certain events/pop-ups Loading, unloading, organizing, and keeping track of event supplies Maintaining clean and sanitary food-preparation and event areas Representing Gouda Giggles professionally at partner venues and corporate events Training will be provided for our specific workshops, products, setup procedures, and expectations. Who We're Looking For We need someone who is focused, dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working independently as well as with a team.
The right person should have:
Previous food service, catering, hospitality, or food-preparation experience Food artistry, charcuterie, food styling, or creative plating experience is a major plus Previous sales or customer-service experience is a plus Strong communication and people skills Confidence speaking and interacting with groups Good organization and time-management skills Strong attention to detail The ability to follow directions and established procedures Good judgment and practical problem-solving/common-sense skills Flexibility and adaptability when events or circumstances change A positive, professional attitude and genuine willingness to work Availability Is Important Our events do not all take place during traditional business hours. Applicants should have flexibility in their schedules and be available for a combination of weekdays, evenings, and weekends. This is a per diem/event-based position, so hours will vary based on our event calendar. There is plenty of opportunity for someone who is reliable, flexible, and interested in taking on events.
Transportation Applicants must have:
Reliable transportation A valid driver's license The ability to travel to different event locations throughout the Capital Region and surrounding areas Mileage reimbursement is provided for qualifying work-related travel. Compensation $23.00 per hour + mileage reimbursement About Gouda Giggles Gouda Giggles Charcuterie is a Capital Region-based charcuterie and catering company specializing in elevated grazing experiences, interactive workshops, corporate catering, pop-ups, and special events. Our workshops extend beyond traditional charcuterie and include a variety of creative, hands-on food experiences.
