On-site | In-office position at The Challenge Program, Inc. headquarters in Johnstown, PA Position Summary The Marketing/Program Engagement Coordinator plays a key role in driving awareness, engagement and program experience through marketing, content and direct involvement in program delivery for The Challenge Program, Inc. (TCP). This position develops participant outreach, assists with events and activities, and ensures meaningful engagement to support program goals and outcomes. The successful candidate will demonstrate adaptability, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a nonprofit fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, goal-oriented, and aligned with our mission to inspire and motivate high school students. Key Responsibilities Marketing & Content Manage and execute social media strategy across platforms. Create and schedule content highlighting programs, students, partners, and impact. Capture photos/videos at events and activities for marketing use. Assist in developing marketing campaigns to promote programs, events, and partnerships. Maintain and update website content to ensure accuracy and relevance. Support creation of marketing materials (flyers, presentations, sponsorship assets, etc.). Ensure brand consistency across all platforms and materials. Program Engagement & Events Support workforce development activities and school assemblies. Represent the organization at events, school visits, and community engagements. Help create engaging, high-quality experiences for students and partners. Collaborate with program team to align messaging and delivery with brand and mission. Intern Oversight & Support Coordinate and oversee interns supporting marketing and program efforts, Support intern onboarding, scheduling, and overall experience, Engagement Strategy & Growth Identify opportunities to increase engagement with students, schools, and partners. Track and report on social media and engagement metrics. Use feedback and data to improve content and outreach strategies. Support storytelling efforts that highlight program impact and outcomes. Cross-Team Support Collaborate with program, operations, and development teams to support organizational goals. Assist with event promotion and sponsor recognition efforts. Support internal communication needs related to marketing and engagement. Qualifications/Requirements Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred. 3+ years of directly related experience. Skills & Competencies Proficiency on social media platforms (Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube). Skilled in website/social media analytics. Experienced with video editing. Strong background in marketing design software such as Canva, Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships across all organizational levels. Ability to work independently and proactively, with minimal supervision. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Some travel is necessary. Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends.
