Job Description
As the front desk & marketing coordinator, you will be expected to own the front desk experience and first impressions of City Tap as the first face people see when they walk through the door. More than just guiding the dining room seating experience, you will be expected to take ownership of front desk organization and flows, along with supporting our event inquiry system & day-of event coordination. This is a hybrid role that reports to both our General Manager and Sales Director
- you will be expected to pivot between multiple tasks and act as a liaison between the dining room operations and event/marketing initiatives. This role will be a great fit for you If you are a self-initiator with strong people skills, and can act quickly and calmly under pressure. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Greet guests with the utmost hospitality, provide a personable and smooth seating experience, and acknowledge/thank guests as they leave the restaurant.
- Manage dining room reservations using Resy.
- Answer the phone & voicemails and relays efficient messages.
- Upkeep & cleanliness of all front desk supplies & inventory
- including but not limited to: menus, private event supplies, business cards, organizational supplies.
- Intake & close out takeout ordering via phone, in-person, and online delivery platforms.
- Support reservation process and monitor incoming reservations leading up to high-volume/high-demand days.
- Communicate private event inquiries and client updates to the Sales Director.
- Upkeep and monitor private event details using our event platform, Tripleseat.
- In-person day-of support for some high volume events/sports days and private events. May require attendance during nights and weekends.
- Attend required trainings and staff meetings. Competencies To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

- Can learn our system softwares and become an expert in utilizing all functions (Tripleseat, Toast, Resy).

- Continuously upkeeps policies & procedures without needing reminders.
- Sales Skills
- Can speak confidently to both dining room guests and potential private event clients and provide knowledgeable information regarding both experiences.

- Can keep tabs on multiple situations happening at once, notice high-risk/high-conflict situations before they arise, and notify the proper parties before things escalate further.
- Social Media/Tech Savvy
- Can take simple footage of events for social media content upon request.
- Autonomous & Self-Starter
- Knows what maintenance tasks need to be done without asking, can identify new needs and processes to create more efficient work flows.
