Guest Relations & Marketing Coordinator Join Our Team - Inspire the Next Generation of Foodies! Part-Time | 10-15 Hours Per Week | Hybrid Job Summary At Sprouts Cooking School, we are committed to providing high-quality children's cooking experiences that enrich and inspire children and their families. The Guest Relations & Marketing Coordinator plays an important role in both the guest experience and the way our brand is communicated to the community. Our ideal candidate has experience in a growing, fast-paced small business and is an excellent communicator, creative thinker and problem solver. This person is organized, self-motivated, adaptable, detail-oriented and comfortable balancing customer communication, event coordination and marketing responsibilities. They take ownership of their work, respond well to direction and enjoy working collaboratively with a small, dedicated team. Guest Relations Provide responsive, friendly and courteous service and communication so every Sprouts guest feels welcomed and well cared for. Manage Guest Relations email and phone communication for classes, camps, birthday parties, private events and other Sprouts programs. Answer and return guest emails and phone messages daily, with guest inquiries responded to within 24 hours. Become a Sprouts specialist who can confidently answer questions about programs, policies, registrations and the guest experience. Provide clear food-safety and allergen-awareness information to guests in accordance with Sprouts policies. Provide in-store guest service and troubleshooting when needed. Build relationships with existing and new customers and look for opportunities to strengthen the guest experience. Event Coordination Coordinate birthday parties and private events, including guest communication, booking details and event preparation. Enter and maintain parties and events in Sprouts scheduling and booking systems and help ensure events are appropriately staffed. Create and maintain rosters and spreadsheets for class registrations. Meet regularly with the management team to review upcoming events, registrations, staffing needs and allergy considerations. Assist with organizing private, corporate and community events. Reach out to local businesses, schools and community organizations to build relationships and identify potential private-event opportunities. Help maintain systems and procedures that create consistent service and operational standards across both locations. Marketing & Communications Create and send scheduled weekly email newsletters featuring class promotions, chef spotlights, recipes, shop news and other relevant content. Create and publish consistent social media content that supports class enrollment, sales goals, brand awareness and community engagement. Engage appropriately with followers and commenters across Sprouts social media accounts. Design and develop promotional materials such as flyers, signage, calendars and digital graphics. Organize and maintain a usable library of photos, videos and other marketing content. Collaborate with management on promotions, sales goals, marketing plans, content needs and deadlines. Review email, social media and sales performance data to identify trends and opportunities to improve reach and results. Assist with community marketing and distribution of promotional materials when appropriate. Team & Operational Responsibilities Understand and follow Sprouts policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs. Use strong judgment and problem-solving skills to resolve issues efficiently and know when a situation should be escalated. Fill in where needed to support excellent guest service and efficient operations. Take pride and ownership in assigned responsibilities and follow projects through to completion. Double-check work for accuracy and maintain strong attention to detail. Work collaboratively with team members and support the overall goals of the company. Master current programs and systems and adapt comfortably to new technologies. Adapt quickly and effectively as priorities and business needs evolve. Understand the nuances of a small business that operates seven days per week and serves a wide range of children and families. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management or ownership as the business evolves. Job Qualifications 1-3 years of guest relations, customer service, marketing or related experience preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong decision-making, organizational and problem-solving skills. Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel or comparable productivity tools. Proficiency with social media platforms and familiarity with Meta business tools. Experience with Mailchimp or another email-marketing platform preferred. Familiarity with Google Analytics and social media analytics is a plus. WordPress experience is a plus. Creative writing, blogging, marketing-content or copywriting experience is a plus. Strong basic math skills. Professional appearance and excellent personal hygiene. Interest in culinary arts, children's programming or child development is a plus. Schedule & Work Environment Approximately 10-15 hours per week. Primarily daytime hours. Hybrid position with work-from-home flexibility and approximately 2-3 in-office days per week, based on business needs. Because Sprouts operates seven days per week, timely guest communication and responsiveness are an important part of the role. Reporting This position works closely with the management team and owner. Responsibilities may evolve as Sprouts Cooking School continues to grow and as the needs of the business change.
