Job Description
About the Role Arbor Scientific provides hands-on physics equipment for classrooms and labs. We're currently working to develop instructional information for teachers and expand into related subject areas. Our marketing team is small, which means the work is real and visible from day one. We're looking for a part-time Marketing Coordinator to keep our content operation moving. You'll be the connective tissue between our teacher advisory group, our video production, and our tradeshow calendar, making sure things are scheduled, tracked, followed up on, and finished. You'll work most closely with our Brand & Content Marketing Manager. This is a job for someone who is genuinely organized and comfortable staying on top of moving pieces without being chased. What You'll Do Advisor & contributor coordination Day-to-day point of contact for the Arbor Collective, our group of practicing physics teachers who contribute blog posts, demos, and video content Schedule check-ins and track what's been committed Follow up on drafts and keep the content pipeline moving Make contributing easy for teachers working around a full course load Video production support Assist on shoots Handle first-pass editing: logging and timestamping footage, assembling rough cuts Organize project files and assets Help draft and structure video scripts, including demo sequences Tradeshow logistics Book hotels and travel for the team (no travel required) Coordinate booth shipping and freight vendors Track registration deadlines and prep materials Handle post-show wrap-up Content management Maintain the editorial calendar and content tracking Keep the asset library organized — files named, tagged, and findable Route drafts for review and follow up so nothing stalls What We're Looking For Required Strong organizational skills and follow-through — you track your own work and close loops without reminders Comfortable communicating with outside contributors, vendors, and partners by email and video call Clear writer; able to draft, edit, and proofread Able to work hybrid out of our Saline, MI office Preferred Video production and editing experience (Premiere, DaVinci, or similar) — even at an assembly-and-rough-cut level Some science under your belt — coursework, a degree, genuine interest. You don't need to be a working physicist, but you should be able to read a script and know when to verify or ask questions. Experience with content calendars, project management tools, or marketing operations
