Job Description
Marketing, Events & Design Coordinator - Restaurant About Rocco's Italian Kitchen Rocco's Italian Kitchen is a lively, independently owned Italian restaurant and wine & martini bar in Bradenton known for its warm atmosphere, vibrant patio, live entertainment, and strong community following. We combine classic Italian comfort food with an energetic social atmosphere that includes live music, dance nights, bingo, trivia, special events, and an active patio dining experience. Rocco's was recently voted Best Italian Restaurant in the Best of Bradenton awards, along with awards for Best Outdoor Dining and Best Wine Selection. We are looking for a marketing professional who can help us capitalize on that recognition and turn it into increased awareness, new customers, repeat business, and stronger community visibility. Rocco's Italian Kitchen is looking for a creative, organized, hands-on Marketing, Events & Design Coordinator to manage and execute restaurant marketing, print materials, in-house signage, event promotion, digital campaigns, and community outreach while working collaboratively with the owner. This is an execution-focused role for someone who can take ownership of projects, keep multiple channels coordinated, and make sure marketing gets done on time. This is a great role for someone who has strong design skills, understands social media and local marketing, enjoys getting out into the community, and can proactively identify opportunities rather than waiting for individual assignments.
Pay Range:
$18-$20 per hour based on experienceHours:
Approximately 10 hours per week to start, with flexibility and potential for growth for the right person.Responsibilities include:
- Developing, coordinating, executing, and tracking promotional campaigns designed to increase restaurant traffic and sales
- Developing and executing ongoing campaigns that capitalize on Rocco's Best of Bradenton awards across social media, email, text, website, print, signage, advertising, and community outreach
- Finding creative ways to turn Rocco's awards, food, events, entertainment, and promotions into measurable customer traffic and repeat business
- Maintaining a coordinated marketing calendar so promotions and events are planned in advance, launched on time, and supported consistently across all channels
- Updating menus and marketing materials using InDesign or similar design software
- Creating and updating flyers, brochures, table cards, event signs, yard signs, and in-house signage
- Coordinating regular announcements for restaurant events, specials, dance nights, live music, bingo, trivia, Buffalo Bills games, and other promotions
- Coordinating updates and campaigns across social media, email marketing, text marketing, website promotions, and third-party marketing tools
- Working with marketing platforms/vendors such as Boostly, Restaurant Growth, Chowly, website teams, and SEO providers (we are currently consolidating these into one vendor/platform)
- Coordinating and managing outside marketing and SEO vendors to ensure promotions, events, website updates, and campaigns are implemented correctly and consistently
- Attending online vendor/platform meetings when needed, organizing action items, and following through on deadlines
- Making sure event and promotional information is distributed clearly, accurately, and consistently across every relevant channel
- Hands-on community marketing, including flyer distribution, local outreach, event promotion, and relationship-building with nearby businesses and organizations
- Promoting Rocco's to HOAs, condo communities, apartment complexes, farmers markets, local businesses, community groups, and other potential customer sources
- Keeping marketing materials, event information, and promotional assets organized and up to date
- Identifying marketing opportunities proactively, proposing practical campaigns, and carrying approved projects through execution without constant supervision
- Monitoring campaign results and helping determine which promotions and marketing channels are actually bringing guests into the restaurant Ideal candidate:
- Has experience with InDesign, Canva, Adobe, or similar design tools
- Can create print materials such as flyers
- Is organized, detail-oriented, deadline-conscious, and strong at follow-through
- Can manage multiple priorities and keep projects moving without repeated reminders
- Is comfortable coordinating multiple marketing platforms and outside vendors
- Has good writing and communication skills
- Is comfortable doing local community outreach in person
- Understands restaurants, events, hospitality, or local business marketing
- Understands that social media is one part of a broader marketing strategy that also includes email, text, website, print, events, advertising, and community outreach
- Can take direction while also working independently, anticipating needs, and taking ownership of execution What success looks like:
- Promotions and events are marketed early enough to build attendance, not at the last minute
- The same accurate information appears across the website, social media, email, text, print materials, signage, and outside marketing partners
- Rocco's Best of Bradenton recognition is used consistently and creatively to attract new guests and reinforce the restaurant's reputation
- Marketing projects have clear deadlines, are followed through to completion, and produce visible activity rather than simply plans or reports This position requires both creative design ability and practical follow-through.
