MN Pay:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $20.60•26 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant work experience, the skills required for the role, internal equity, market competitiveness, and budget considerations. Under the supervision of the Organizing Manager, the Senior Organizing Associate has the responsibility of building a network of activists and leaders for the organization. The Senior Organizing Associate is responsible for recruiting new supporters, engaging activists, developing volunteer leaders, and providing opportunities for grassroots activism. The Senior Organizing Associate develops and executes the plan to further the programmatic goals of Planned Parenthood North Central States and the Planned Parenthood Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota Action Fund. Senior Organizing Associates are advocates in implementing our mission of "advancing and protecting sexual and reproductive healthcare for all". Three years combined experience in grassroots community organizing, campaign experience, and/or volunteer management Understanding of intersectional nature of social justice and equity interpersonally and systemicallyYour Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Implement outreach, organizing, and voter engagement plans Develop and execute advocacy and electoral strategies to further the campaigns of the organization Develop relationships with volunteers, community leaders and partner organizations Ensure organizing, base building, advocacy, and electoral goals are met Build a program that centers equity, racial justice, and intersectionality Ensure data and reporting requirements are met Coordinate with the Regional Senior Organizing Manager to develop outreach and organizing plans and to ensure that our organizing supports our advocacy objectivesRecruitment:
Recruit new supporters and volunteers Assist in development and execution of plans for generating potential new supporters and leaders. Create and participate in opportunities to expand our reach, meet new potential supporters, and generate new leadersMobilization:
Assist in development and execution of advocacy and organizing plans for engaging our supporters in opportunities to advance our programmatic goals. Create and manage a consistent event schedule that excites supporters and inspires participation. Create and execute plans to mobilize people to vote in elections Create relationships with volunteers, partner organizations, and community leaders.Leadership Development:
Develop and execute a plan that deepens the engagement of strong supporters and strengthens their commitment to PPNCS and PPMNSAF. Identify and train new volunteer leaders to support organizing, advocacy, and electoral goals. Create leadership opportunities for supporters to develop responsibility, skill development, and ownership of work. Partner with volunteer leaders to develop community building and action events, with the goal of having volunteer led eventsGrassroots Advocacy and Organizing:
Assist in creation and development of grassroots campaign plans that support PPNCS and PPMNSAF's programmatic goals. Engage PPNCS and PPMNSAF's base of supporters in organizing activities, including but not limited to 1:1 meetings, phone banking, canvassing, protests, rallies, and online advocacy. In partnership with the communications team, develop digital content to engage activists Accurately record data to track your work and meet reporting requirements. Engage volunteers and supporters in advocacy and electoral initiatives.This may include:
