Senior Marketing Coordinator IKM Architecture is seeking an experienced, proactive Senior Marketing Coordinator to support the firm's marketing, communications, and business development efforts. This role is ideal for an A/E/C marketing professional who can independently manage complex pursuits and marketing initiatives, collaborate effectively with firm leadership and technical teams, and help strengthen the systems and processes that support IKM's growth. The Senior Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in developing high-quality proposals, qualifications packages, presentations, marketing materials, and communications while executing broader firmwide marketing initiatives. This position requires strong writing, project management, organization, and critical-thinking skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities with limited oversight. As a senior member of the marketing team, this role will also serve as a resource to Marketing and Proposal Coordinators, providing daily guidance, peer review, and support as needed. The Senior Marketing Coordinator reports to the Director of Marketing Strategy, Communications, and Public Relations.

Key Responsibilities Proposal & Pursuit Management:

Independently lead RFQs, RFPs, qualifications packages, and other competitive pursuits from kickoff through submission, including reviewing solicitation requirements, developing compliance matrices and schedules, coordinating contributors, managing reviews, and ensuring deadlines are met.

Pursuit Strategy & Content Development:

Partner with firm leadership, project teams, marketing, and business development staff to understand client priorities, identify differentiators and win themes, and develop tailored proposal content that clearly communicates IKM's qualifications and value.

Writing & Editing:

Draft, edit, and refine proposal narratives, cover letters, project descriptions, staff resumes, qualifications, award submissions, and other marketing and communications materials for clarity, consistency, accuracy, and audience relevance.

Presentation & Interview Support:

Coordinate and develop interview presentations and supporting materials. Assist teams with messaging, presentation structure, interview preparation, practice sessions, and quality control.

Marketing & Communications:

Coordinate and execute firmwide marketing and communications initiatives, including award submissions, project and staff announcements, public relations materials, website content, social media, events, brochures, lookbooks, and other collateral.

Research & Business Development Support:

Conduct research on clients, markets, competitors, projects, and industry trends to support pursuit strategy, business development, positioning, and marketing initiatives.

CRM & Marketing Systems:

Maintain accurate and current information within Deltek and other marketing systems, including opportunities, project information, staff resumes, client/contact data, and marketing assets. Help identify opportunities to improve data quality and usability.

Process Improvement:

Identify opportunities to improve marketing workflows, templates, standards, and tools; recommend solutions and support improvements that increase efficiency, consistency, and quality.

Quality & Brand Management:

Perform quality-control reviews of proposals, presentations, and marketing materials to ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and alignment with IKM's brand and messaging standards.

Team Collaboration & Coordination:

Serve as a resource to other marketing team members, sharing best practices and providing guidance and peer review as appropriate. Coordinate effectively with principals, project managers, technical staff, consultants, and external partners to keep initiatives moving forward and resolve issues proactively.

Industry Awareness:

Stay current on A/E/C marketing trends, tools, technologies, and best practices and identify opportunities that could strengthen IKM's marketing and pursuit efforts. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Business, or a related field. 5-8 years of marketing, proposal, or business development experience, preferably within the architecture, engineering, construction, or professional services industries. Demonstrated experience independently coordinating complex RFQ/RFP responses and managing multiple concurrent deadlines. Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate technical information into clear, compelling, client-focused messaging. Strong project management and organizational skills, including the ability to establish schedules, coordinate contributors, identify risks, and drive assignments to completion. Demonstrated ability to work directly and confidently with firm leadership, technical professionals, consultants, and external partners. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign; experience with Photoshop and Illustrator preferred. Experience with Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint or a comparable CRM system preferred. Knowledge of A/E/C procurement processes, including SF330 submissions, is highly valued. APMP Foundation Certification or other relevant professional certification is preferred.
