Opportunity for increased hours and responsibility based on performance About the Role Rumble Boxing Greater Boston is looking for a creative, outgoing, and self-motivated Social Media & Community Marketing Coordinator to help grow our Assembly Row and Arsenal Yards studios. We're looking for someone who can take real ownership of our local social media presence—not simply someone who can schedule posts. This person will regularly visit both studios to film original content , capture the energy of our classes and community, and turn that footage into engaging short-form content for Instagram. You'll be responsible for developing content ideas, filming, editing, writing captions, and maintaining a consistent posting schedule. We'd also like to expand our presence on Instagram and TikTok , using and adapting content across platforms where appropriate. Beyond social media, this role will help grow Rumble's presence throughout the local community through marketing outreach, partnerships, events, and collaborations with nearby businesses and organizations. This is a hybrid position . Some weekly hours will be spent in our studios capturing content and participating in community outreach, while editing, content planning, scheduling, research, and other digital marketing work can be completed remotely. Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day social media presence for Rumble Boxing Greater Boston Create and publish approximately 2 high-quality Instagram posts/Reels per week Regularly create additional Instagram Stories and short-form content Visit both Assembly Row and Arsenal Yards to capture original photo and video content Film classes, trainers, members, events, promotions, testimonials, and behind-the-scenes moments Independently develop creative concepts and identify opportunities for engaging content Edit short-form video content using CapCut, Adobe, Canva, or similar tools Write captions and maintain a consistent brand voice Build and maintain a social media/content calendar Stay current on social media trends and identify trends that fit the Rumble brand Help launch and manage our local TikTok presence Repurpose appropriate content between Instagram and TikTok Engage with comments, tags, messages, and community-generated content Coordinate with trainers and staff to create authentic content Promote studio offers, events, partnerships, and special classes Track basic content performance and use results to improve future content Help identify and contact potential local partners, including businesses, apartment communities, universities, fitness/wellness brands, and community organizations Assist with local partnerships, cross-promotions, events, and community outreach Bring new marketing and content ideas to management rather than waiting to be given every assignment What We're Looking For Previous experience managing social media or creating content for a business, brand, organization, or established personal account Strong understanding of Instagram, Reels, Stories, and short-form video Comfortable personally filming and editing content Strong creative instincts and ability to turn everyday studio activity into engaging content Experience with CapCut, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar editing tools Comfortable working independently and managing your own projects Organized and able to maintain a consistent content schedule Strong written and verbal communication skills Comfortable approaching and working with trainers, members, local businesses, and community partners Ability to regularly travel to both our Somerville and Watertown studios Interest or experience in fitness, wellness, sports, lifestyle, or hospitality marketing preferred TikTok experience is a plus Photography/videography experience is a plus Community marketing, partnership, or event experience is a plus Schedule & Work Environment This position will begin at approximately 15-20 hours per week . The role is hybrid. In-person hours will include filming content at our Assembly Row and Arsenal Yards studios, attending occasional events, and conducting community outreach. Remote work is expected and paid as part of the position. Editing videos, developing content ideas, writing captions, scheduling posts, researching trends, planning campaigns, digital outreach, and other approved marketing work may be completed remotely. Some flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends is preferred so content can be captured during different classes, events, and community activities. Compensation $20
•22 per hour , depending on experience and portfolio. There is an opportunity for the role to grow in hours, compensation, and responsibility as our marketing needs expand and based on performance.
