Job Description
About Shift Shift Pilates Body Shop is a community-driven Pilates studio in Charleston built around movement, connection, and making people feel genuinely good. We're looking for someone who understands that a great studio experience is about more than checking people in. It's about remembering names, noticing the little things, creating a welcoming environment, communicating thoughtfully, and helping our brand come to life both inside the studio and online. The Studio Experience & Marketing Coordinator will be a key part of that experience. This is a hands-on role that combines member experience, studio operations, administrative support, and social media/content creation . We're looking for someone who is naturally warm and outgoing, highly dependable, organized, and comfortable taking ownership without needing to be micromanaged. If you're someone who notices when something needs to be done and simply does it, enjoys connecting with people, and has a creative eye for social media, we'd love to meet you.
The Role As our Studio Experience & Marketing Coordinator, you'll be responsible for helping Shift run smoothly during your scheduled shifts while making sure our members feel welcomed, supported, and connected to the studio. You'll also help tell the Shift story through Instagram and our monthly newsletter. Member Experience Be a warm, friendly, and welcoming presence at the front desk. Greet members as they arrive and say goodbye as they leave. Answer member questions and provide helpful, knowledgeable support. Process purchases for grip socks, retail, and other approved studio products. Review daily attendance and identify UNL clients. Welcome UNL clients, introduce them to their instructor, and confirm their card has the required signatures. Monitor new Two-Week Unlimited purchases and promptly contact new clients to welcome them and schedule their Welcome Session. Recognize and communicate member concerns or questions that require leadership support. Help create an experience that makes members feel known, valued, and excited to return. Communication & Administrative Support You'll help keep communication organized and ensure that members receive timely responses. Answer incoming phone calls and complete any necessary administrative follow-up. Return voicemails and complete related administrative tasks. Monitor the main studio email ("Heyyo") and respond to or complete administrative requests within 6 hours during applicable working periods. Monitor WellnessLiving messages and respond to or complete administrative requests within 6 hours during applicable working periods. Escalate unanswered, sensitive, or unresolved questions to studio leadership. Maintain a friendly, polished, and professional communication style across all channels. Follow through on tasks rather than simply passing questions along. Studio Experience & Readiness The studio should feel clean, organized, intentional, and ready before every class. At the beginning of each shift, you'll: Empty wastebaskets. Move the dirty towel basket to the ALSCO bin in the back parking lot. Refill the clean towel basket. Restock toilet paper, paper towels, hand towels, and other necessary supplies. Check lighting and music. Make sure the front desk, lobby, restroom, and shared spaces are clean and organized. Identify and communicate any maintenance, supply, or cleanliness issues.
