About the Role The Golf Operations Intern will play an important role in supporting the daily operations of our golf facilities while helping provide an exceptional experience for our guests. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in the hospitality, tourism, recreation, and golf industries. The intern will assist with a variety of operational responsibilities, including guest service, event and tournament coordination, golf shop operations, and general facility support. By working alongside experienced team members, the Golf Operations Intern will gain valuable insight into the business and operational aspects of golf management while developing an understanding of the high level of service expected within a resort environment. Ultimately, this position is intended to develop the intern's skills and industry knowledge while preparing them for future opportunities in hospitality, recreation, sports management, or golf operations. Minimum Qualifications Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Hospitality Management, Recreation, Sports Management, or a related field. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service. Preferred Qualifications Previous customer service experience, preferably within the hospitality, recreation, sports, or golf industry. Familiarity with golf operations and golf terminology. Responsibilities Assist with the daily operations of the golf course and golf shop. Assist with managing tee times and guest check-ins. Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest questions, requests, and concerns. Support the planning and execution of golf events and tournaments. Assist with event logistics to help ensure tournaments and special events operate efficiently. Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and professional appearance of the golf shop and surrounding areas. Collaborate with team members to promote golf programs, services, and events. Support sales and marketing efforts related to golf operations as assigned. Assist with additional operational responsibilities based on business and guest needs. Skills Strong customer service and communication skills are essential, as the Golf Operations Intern will regularly interact with guests and assist in creating a positive resort experience. Organizational and time-management skills will be important when assisting with tee times, events, tournaments, and daily golf operations. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team will contribute to an efficient and positive work environment. Familiarity with golf and golf operations is preferred and will help the intern confidently engage with guests and provide knowledgeable assistance. Overall, these skills will help the Golf Operations Intern contribute to a welcoming guest experience while developing practical knowledge of golf, hospitality, and recreation operations.
