Job Summary Join us as a Pickle Festival 2-day Helper and become a vital part of an exciting, lively community event celebrating all things pickles! This energetic role offers a fantastic opportunity to engage with festival-goers, assist with event operations, and ensure a fun, safe, and memorable experience for everyone involved. As a helper, you will support various festival activities over two days, helping to manage crowds, facilitate activities, and provide excellent guest service. Your enthusiasm and teamwork will help create an enjoyable atmosphere that keeps visitors coming back year after year! Responsibilities Assist with setting up and breaking down festival booths, displays, and activity stations in accordance with safety protocols. Support event management by guiding guests through festival activities and providing clear information about schedules and attractions. Manage guest services by answering questions, providing directions, and ensuring visitors have a positive experience. Help with crowd control and conflict management to maintain a safe and friendly environment for all attendees. Support food service operations, including cash handling, processing transactions via POS systems, and maintaining cleanliness standards. Assist with manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies, equipment, or festival materials. Follow safety protocols diligently; be prepared to assist with first aid or CPR if needed during the event. Experience Previous experience in events management or hospitality is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key! Experience working with children or in outdoor settings is advantageous. Familiarity with retail sales, cash handling, POS systems, or food service operations will be beneficial. Ability to handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in lively environments. Experience in conflict management or public speaking helps in managing diverse crowds confidently. Certification in first aid or CPR is a plus but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed. Pay:
$24.59 - $29.62 per hour
