Build Relationships. Make a Difference. Are you an experienced senior living professional who thrives on leadership, relationships, and creating meaningful experiences for residents and families? We are looking for an Assistant Executive Director / Sales & Marketing Leader to join our Assisted Living community. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, relationship-driven leader who enjoys both operations and sales and wants to make a meaningful impact on the lives of older adults, their families, and our team. This position will work closely with the Executive Director to support the overall leadership and success of the community while taking a primary leadership role in census development, sales, marketing, and community outreach. What You Will Do Leadership & Operations Partner with the Executive Director in the overall management and leadership of the community. Help ensure the community operates in accordance with company standards, policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. Provide leadership, direction, and support to department leaders and team members. Assist with employee engagement, performance management, and team development. Help maintain a strong culture of accountability, teamwork, service, and hospitality. Participate in quality assurance, resident satisfaction, risk management, and operational improvement initiatives. Step in for the Executive Director when needed and provide leadership across the community. Build strong relationships with residents, families, employees, physicians, referral partners, and community organizations. Sales & Marketing Take ownership of the community's sales and marketing efforts and census growth. Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline from inquiry through move-in. Respond quickly and personally to new inquiries and prospective residents. Conduct tours that showcase the community, its services, and the value we provide to residents and families. Build meaningful relationships with prospective residents and their families and understand their unique needs. Follow up consistently with prospects, families, and referral sources. Develop and maintain referral relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing communities, home health and hospice agencies, physicians, care managers, senior resource organizations, and other community partners. Represent the community at networking events, senior fairs, professional organizations, and community activities. Develop creative strategies to increase occupancy and strengthen the community's reputation in the market. Monitor sales activity, conversion rates, move-ins, move-outs, and census trends. Maintain accurate CRM and sales activity records and use data to identify opportunities for growth. Partner with the Executive Director and leadership team to develop and execute census and marketing strategies. Compassionate and service-minded , with a genuine passion for serving older adults. Comfortable working collaboratively with an Executive Director and department leaders. Able to balance business results with resident experience and quality of care. Qualifications Previous leadership experience in Assisted Living, Independent Living, Memory Care, or another senior living environment strongly preferred. Previous sales, marketing, business development, or census development experience preferred. Experience leading teams and working in a regulated healthcare or senior living environment. Strong communication, presentation, organization, and relationship-building skills. Demonstrated ability to develop referral relationships and generate business. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop action plans. Knowledge of senior living operations, regulations, and industry practices preferred. Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, marketing, or a related field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
