Join WiSys as an Innovation Student Intern! Use your organizational and communications skills to make a difference for Wisconsin researchers, innovators, and entrepreneurs. At WiSys, we help bring innovations from universities to the marketplace through research development support, intellectual property protection, grant programs, and student events. The Innovation Student Intern will work with the WiSys team to support Universities of Wisconsin faculty, staff, students, and alumni in pursuit of expanding their research programs, furthering their discoveries, and commercializing their innovations. The Intern will learn about intellectual property (IP), market research, licensing, commercialization, grant funding, and event planning. Experience gained from the internship will help prepare students for positions in non-profit organizations, industry, and higher education. WiSys is a nonprofit organization and offers you an opportunity to gain a wide range of experiences that can be aligned with your interests.

Primary duties may include:

• Assist with various IP and licensing related tasks
• Conduct market research and analysis on selected innovations
• Assist with management and tracking of events and programs
• Production of materials for internal and public presentation
• Assist with finding grant funding for researchers
• Additional opportunities to collaboration with the WiSys team
